For nearly 25 years, marketing executive Dawn Johnson has immersed herself in the analysis and practice of her profession, amassing a number of notable achievements in her field. As an employee of United Services Automobile Association (USAA) in San Antonio, Texas, where she worked from 1987 to 2008, Ms. Johnson ascended from an entry-level position to become one of the top executives in the company, holding oversight for all of the firm’s many marketing endeavors. In her role as Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President of USAA, Dawn Johnson developed and implemented effective marketing strategies for all of the firm's products and services and reorganized the corporate infrastructure of the marketing division. Additionally, Dawn Johnson played a key role in the company’s extensive rebranding efforts and spent five years on the USAA Executive Council. Among her numerous accomplishments as Chief Marketing Officer, Ms. Johnson increased customer loyalty and retention, helped the company achieve overall market share of 61%, a retention rate of 97% and a product household depth of 5.28 products. At the same time, Dawn Johnson served as President and Chief Executive Officer of USAA Alliance Services, where, from 2003 through 2007, she focused her time and energy on various measures of corporate restructuring and alliance partnership review. In the process, Ms. Johnson brought renewed profitability by increasing product sales and revenues across all categories and improving business relations.

Dawn Johnson earned a promotion to President and CEO of USAA Alliance Services after a highly successful two-year period as CEO and President of USAA Financial Planning Services, where she launched a sweeping campaign to rebuild the image and infrastructure of the organization. Previously, Ms. Johnson also held the role of Marketing Programs Specialist in the Property and Casualty Insurance Company. Educated through USAA’s Managerial Information Seminar series, Project Management Foundation, and Emerging Leaders Program, Dawn Johnson also attended the Stanford Graduate School of Business Executive Education Program. A graduate of Kansas State University, Dawn Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications.
